Barcelona club president Josep Maria Bartomeu confirms that Ronald Koeman will be the new coach of the team.

Barcelona club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has confirmed that Ronald Koeman will be the new coach of the team.

And it is only waiting for the official announcement of the Catalan club to sign a contract with Koeman, who is currently in Barcelona.

“If all goes well, Koeman will be the coach who will oversee the team and the players under a different program,” Bartomeu said in an interview with the club’s television station.

The Catalan club announced the dismissal of its coach Quique Setien on Monday, following the historic defeat of his team by Bayern Munich 2-8 in the quarter-finals of the Champions League last week.
