Al-Ittihad – “Nuclear Supervision” confirms the continuation of its oversight duties for the operation of Baraka stations

Since its issuance of the operating license last February to the first unit in the Barakah Nuclear Energy Station, the Federal Nuclear Supervision Authority has continued its oversight duties in the fuel loading phase and various tests conducted to reach the normal operating phase, which is one of the important stages in the nuclear power plant and in which the nuclear fission process begins To generate energy or what is known as (forestry). The authority affirms the commitment of Nawat Power Company, the operator, to all regulatory requirements to start this important stage. This achievement comes as a result of the Commission’s intensive monitoring activities and includes continuous inspection to ensure the safety and safety of the nuclear power plant.

It is mentioned that, after the authority issued the operating license to reach the usual (forestry) operating stage, the authority conducted a set of control activities that included inspection through its inspectors residing at the station and sending more inspectors to follow up on nuclear fuel loading and various stages of testing. The Authority continuously checks the level of preparedness and preparedness for emergency situations, as well as monitoring the environment through independent monitoring stations located around the station with its use of its environmental laboratory.

The regular (forestry) operation phase represents a historic achievement in the Emirates Nuclear Energy Program process, which will contribute to achieving the full operation of the first unit planned for later this year.
