After the departure of Hakim Ziyash … Ajax is required to change his playing style

Last season, Frenke de Jong moved to Barcelona and Matisse de Liech joined Juventus, and Joel Feltman recently joined Brighton and Sven Potman to Lille.

It is also possible that Andre Onana, Nicholas Taliavico and Donny van de Beek will leave before the start of the new season next month.

“If you lose players who have a significant impact on performance, the style will change,” Tin Hag told Dutch television station Nos on Sunday.

He added: “The team lacks specific capabilities, but certainly the goal remains unchanged. The level of expectations should always be raised from last season. The challenge relates to extracting more available players.”

He continued: “We have made a strong squad. We have two players in each position except for the left back. We will see if we can compensate for that internally or we will search for a player from abroad.”

Ajax signed a contract with young Brazilian striker Anthony from São Paulo for 15 million euros, but Tin Hag said he would need some time to cope.

“He will enter a new competition on a new continent in a different language. He has special capabilities and we’ll see how that will work for Ajax.”
