A leak reveals the foldable smartphone from “Huawei”

A report by the technical website GSM Arena revealed that Huawei is working on developing a foldable smartphone using UTG glass technology and a stylus.

The Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) in China granted the global phone giant a patent for the phone, shedding light on what could be the next Huawei Mate X2 smartphone.

The GSM Arena website pointed to a feature that may be interesting to the phone, which is the narrow sub-screen located next to the main panel, which is referred to in the patent as a “sub-screen”. This sub-screen is expected to display context menus and additional information from applications. .

The additional screen will also contain two front cameras, while the rear camera unit for the next smartphone will contain four lenses.

The report added, that the main flexible screen of the phone will be folded inward, like the Samsung Galaxy Fold, noting that the current flexible smartphones Huawei – Mate X and Mate Xs, the screen folds outward and not inward.

Because of the screen shape, on the one hand, the phone will be thinner and attractive in appearance, and on the other hand, it will be easy to scratch the screen; Because it will come into contact with the surface.

The technical report explained that if the device described in the patent enters production, Huawei will likely be the first manufacturer to launch a foldable smartphone with an electronic pen.
