A banner tweet by “Bukhari” about Hezbollah

The Saudi ambassador to Lebanon Walid Bukhari commented, in a tweet on his Twitter account, on the “decision of the Lithuanian state to designate Hezbollah a terrorist organization.” Bukhari wrote, “Saudi Arabia welcomes the Lithuanian Republic’s designation of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization and the denial of the organization’s entry to its territory.”

Bukhari wrote in a second tweet, “The US State Department: We welcome Lithuania’s designation of Lebanese Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.”

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania confirmed, in a statement, on Thursday, that “based on information obtained by our institutions and partners, we can conclude that Hezbollah uses terrorist means that represent a threat to the security of a large number of countries, including Lithuania.”

He pointed out that “Lithuania stands next to the United States, Germany, Britain, the Netherlands and other countries that have reached the same result.”

The Ministry of Immigration in Lithuania decided to “prevent persons associated with Hezbollah from entering the country for a period of 10 years based on information about their activities within the party that represent a threat to the interests of the country.”
