493 million dinars, the trade balance deficit with the Arab Free Trade Zone

Nabataeans –The value of national exports to the countries of the Greater Arab Free Trade Zone decreased in the first half of this year by 2.1 percent, reaching 907 million dinars, compared to the same period last year, which amounted to 926 million dinars.

According to the monthly report of the Department of Statistics, the value of imports from the Greater Arab Free Trade Zone countries decreased in the first half of this year by 23.1 percent, reaching 1.4 billion dinars, compared to the same period last year, which amounted to 1.8 billion dinars. The trade balance deficit with the Greater Arab Free Trade Zone countries decreased in the first half of this year by 43.5 percent to reach about 493 million dinars, compared to the same period last year, which amounted to 874 million dinars.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia topped the value of national exports to the countries of the Greater Arab Trade Zone in the first half of this year, reaching 254 million dinars, while the Kingdom’s imports from Saudi Arabia amounted to about 773 million dinars, and thus the trade balance deficit with Saudi Arabia reached at the end of the first half 519 million dinars.
