The police chief of Ventura County, California, said on Monday that the body of actress and singer Naya Rivera, one of the heroes of the famous series “Glee”, was found missing.
The police chief indicated that the authorities did not suspect a crime or suicide and that the Rivera family had been informed, adding that the body had been transferred to the forensic office to conduct an autopsy and formally identify through dental records.
The authorities said last week that they believed Rivera had sunk after they rented a boat on Lake Peru near Los Angeles with her son Josie (four years old), who was found safe.
The US authorities launched an operation to search for the actress and singer, Naya Rivera, who is believed to have died by drowning in Lake Peru, southern California.
Ventura County police confirmed that Rivera, 33, on Tuesday hired a boat to take a stroll on the lake with her four-year-old son.
Three hours later, the boat was found with the child on board alone and the actress ID.
The child told investigators that he and his mother had started swimming in the lake, but they had disappeared and had not returned to the boat.
Rivera is known as Santana Lopez, the hero of the TV series dramatic musical comedy (Glee).
