Today, Saturday, the official SPA agency of Saudi Arabia announced the issuance of “the honorable approval of the High Commissioner on the proposal of … the Crown Prince … regarding directing government agencies to acquire artistic works and national craft products at their headquarters.”

The procedure requires that “all government agencies limit their artistic pieces in their headquarters to national artistic works in accordance with evidence prepared by the Ministry of Culture, provided that government agencies provide the Ministry of Culture with the list of works acquired to be added to the National Register of Artistic Works.”

The Cabinet had previously instructed the Ministry of Culture to prepare a national record for artistic works, and to circulate to all government agencies by providing the Ministry with data on the works they have; The Ministry shall have an integrated database on these activities.
