Energy Minister Raymond Ghajar interviewed himself in a session on the Bisri Dam that was held in the Grand Serail after the absence of opponents of the project, which has dubious economic and scientific feasibility, and its financial dimension.
The Ministry of Energy and Water announced in a statement that it “began today in coordination with the Ministry of Information and the Council for Development and Reconstruction, the sessions of the public dialogue on the Bisri Dam, in implementation of Cabinet Resolution No. 1 dated 2/4/2020.”
She noted that “the dialogue that took place today in two phases in the government house will be completed next Friday with a morning session, followed by a press conference during which the recommendations will be read.”
The ministry regretted that “a number of civil society associations and personalities did not attend,” reiterating the “open invitation to them to participate actively and express opinions and raise concerns, as the opportunity is still open in the closing session next Friday.”
