The foreign ministers of the “Five Eyes” had discussions on Hong Kong

Sharjah 24 – Reuters:

A Canadian official has informed that foreign ministers from the five countries that share intelligence information discussed the situation in Hong Kong during a conference call on Wednesday.

The group of five includes Canada, the United States, Britain, Australia and New Zealand.

In a separate move, Canadian Foreign Minister Francois Philippe Champaign wrote on Twitter on Wednesday that he and his counterparts from other countries discussed several issues related to international peace and security.

Last week, China imposed new national security legislation on Hong Kong, despite protests from residents of the island and western countries, to put the most liberal cities in China, which are a major financial center on the path of more authoritarian rule.
