The Syrian News Agency “SANA” indicates that the air defenses responded to an Israeli aggression with rockets from the area of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan.
The Syrian News Agency “SANA” reported that the Syrian air defenses confronted hostile targets in the sky of the capital, Damascus.
The agency stated that “our air defenses responded to an Israeli aggression with rockets from the area of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan,” without mentioning any details about the nature of those targets, while pages were published on social networking sites that strong explosions were heard in the sky of the capital.
A Syrian military source pointed out that the Israeli enemy aircraft “over the occupied Syrian Golan directed several bursts of rockets towards southern Damascus,” adding that “our air defense means have confronted them, shot down most of them, and limited material losses.”
In a related context, the Syrian newspaper “Al-Watan” said that the aggression targeted the southern and southwestern countryside of Damascus, noting that “the air defenses dropped a number of missiles before reaching their targets.”
