“Sharjah Innovation” announces 500 participants from 57 countries at the “Industry 4.0” accelerator


Sharjah 24:The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Complex has revealed the participation of more than 500 international companies from 57 countries in the global virtual accelerator of the advanced industry “Industry 4.0”, which was launched by the complex during last March with the aim of attracting emerging companies that provide innovative technical solutions compatible with the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The accelerator will attract this number of companies whose specialties have varied in different sectors including advanced industries, manufacturing technology, smart cities, sustainable design, construction technology, smart materials, drones, robots, artificial intelligence, and other industrial technologies.

The program aims to support international startups during their stages of development, in order to expand their technologies at various regional levels, as well as to qualify for a set of prizes worth $ 450,000.

In the next stage of this global program, an arbitration committee will be formed, represented by a group of representatives of a number of companies and government and private bodies, which will evaluate the emerging companies nominated by the end of this July, to join the accelerator program, to start then and continue until next November 4, training the team, and guidance from Before the best companies, support how to expand the company and its development.

The winner will be chosen on November 5 to be awarded the main prize, and the complex offers all support to startups to expand their scope even after acceleration and support in its new headquarters for one year.

The launch of this initiative, which is represented in this global accelerator, is a translation of the complex’s efforts aimed at strengthening Sharjah’s position on international indicators and rankings.
