Saudi Arabia announces health and protection protocols for the Hajj season 1441 AH

Sharjah 24 – SPA:

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced health protocols to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus during the Hajj season 1441 AH, while prohibiting gatherings and meetings between pilgrims.

The statement of the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control, “Prevention”, stated that touching the Kaaba will be prevented during the pilgrimage this year and imposing a social distance of no less than one and a half meters between each person and another during the performance of rituals, including congregational prayer and the circumambulation area around the Kaaba.

Entry to Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat is restricted to those holding permits for Hajj from Sunday 28 of Dhu Al-Qi’dah until the end of Sunday 12 of Dhu al-Hijjah 1441 A.H. Also, pilgrims and organizers will be required to place masks.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided last June to limit the number of local pilgrims to about 1,000 people to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.
