SINGAPORE (Reuters) – Qatar Petroleum sold two shipments of Al Shaheen crude for download between September 1 and September 28 and 29 of the same month, with an average premium of $ 1.46 a barrel to the prices offered for Dubai crude through a monthly immediate bid, commercial sources said on Thursday.
She added that Qatar Petroleum also set the price of Al Shaheen crude in September for buyers with fixed-term contracts at a premium of $ 1.54 a barrel to Dubai crude prices.
The identity of the buyers is not yet known.
Prior to the bid, traders said that at least one Japanese buyer bought shipments of Al Shaheen crude at a premium ranging from about $ 1.60 to $ 1.70 a barrel to the prices offered for Dubai.
Last month, Qatar Petroleum sold shipments of Al Shaheen crude for download in August, with an average premium of $ 1.56 a barrel to the prices offered to Dubai through an immediate monthly bid.
