Media reports: Hugh Downs, American journalist, dies at 99

(Reuters) – Hugh Downs, whose social character and assertive nature has given him the ability to switch between the worlds of competition and news networks, has died at the age of 99, according to US media.

A family statement carried by many American media reported that Downs, who hosted the “Concentration” and ABC News program “20/20” during a radio and television march that lasted for more than 60 years, died on Wednesday at his residence in Scottsdale in Arizona State.
