China’s National Health Commission said Monday that four new cases of coronavirus were registered on the Chinese mainland on July 5, down from eight cases the day before.
Three of the new cases came from abroad, while the capital, Beijing, registered one new case, and there were no new deaths, the committee said in a statement.
China reported 11 new cases of asymptomatic corona, up from seven a day earlier.
The committee added that by July 5, the total number of confirmed cases of corona in mainland China reached 83,557.
The number of corona deaths in China is still 4,634, unchanged since mid-May.
