India has re-isolated more than 10% of its population, with restrictions imposed since the evening of Wednesday and for two weeks on the population of Bihar (Northeast), which is 125 million people.

While the United States recorded a daily record of the number of people infected with this virus, especially in the south of the country, Spain, one of the European countries most affected by the epidemic, officially honored the victims of the virus Thursday, while continuing to monitor more than 120 active spots on its soil.

More than 13.4 million people have been infected with the virus worldwide and nearly 580,000 deaths have been reported so far.

On all continents, the epidemic is causing a wave of reimposition of isolation measures in addition to new measures such as the mandatory application of a protective mask, especially in the United States, where it is receiving increasing acceptance even though part of the population is still reluctant to use it.

For the first time since the isolation ended in Spain, the country on Sunday re-imposed a home quarantine on more than 200,000 people in the Catalonia region (northeast), aiming to stem the high number of new infections from the Corona virus.

European Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakides expressed concern about “the interaction of seasonal influenza with Covid-19”.

“The recurrence of the outbreak is increasingly being reported in many member countries. Urbanization is essential, especially before the fall and winter months,” she warned.

One of the side effects of the epidemic is the decrease in the number of children vaccinated around the world, which paves the way for the return of other diseases, which is worrisome, according to the United Nations.

“We cannot replace one health crisis with another,” said Henrietta Four, Executive Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
