The Crisis and Emergency Management Committee in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi announced the start of applying the “DPI” technology based on the use of lasers to detect suspected cases of HIV-19, and to allow its users to enter the emirate.

The “DPI” technology based on the laser depends on examining blood samples and reading the shape of the cells in them to determine within seconds the presence of infections such as those caused by the Covid-19 virus. The diagnostic system in the innovative device in the UAE also adopts advanced artificial intelligence technology in image analysis according to a very accurate scale .

The committee stressed that those wishing to enter Abu Dhabi can perform a DPI laser scan at the virus at the specified points and whoever shows the result of its examination with this device will be allowed to enter, but whoever has a positive test result will undergo PCR nose scans for the detection of Covid-19 virus at the same site before requesting He must return to his place of residence and not be in contact until the result appears.

Those who hold a negative result for Covid-19 examination conducted within 48 hours of receiving the result will continue to be allowed in.

The committee stressed the necessity of planning and conducting checks in advance whenever possible to avoid any possible congestion or delay.
