On Monday, Reinhardt posted a picture of herself naked in front of Lake Salton Sea in California, commenting: “So far, Bruna Taylor’s killers have not been arrested. They demanded justice. ”
Taylor, 26, in Kentucky, was killed by police on March 13 after officers stormed her apartment under a search warrant, in search of drugs.
However, the photo drew criticism from her followers, who accused her of ridicule Taylor’s death and turning the claim of justice across the country into a “meme”.
But she apologized for the “mistake” and to anyone who offended him. She said, “I’ve always tried to use my platform for good. And I talk about the things that interest me. I can also confess when I make a mistake. ”
“I never intended to insult anyone, and I am really sorry for those I have offended,” added 23-year-old Reinhardt.
The actress, who was hosting talks with black creators and activists on her Instagram account, amid global protests against racism and police brutality, added: “I have tried hard to be honest in my life on IGTV that I’m still learning, and trying to be better. I had really good intentions and I didn’t think that by doing this it could appear to be hypersensitive. ”
Since the death of George Floyd, an African American, the American superstar has supported the “Life of Blacks is Important” movement, and encouraged her social media followers to donate and educate themselves about racism and stand in solidarity with people of color.
“I want to say that I am ashamed of the racism that exists in this country,” Reinhart wrote on June 1. “We have learned to look at our police officers as helpful and friendly when we learn about” leaders “in primary school. We have failed our “leaders” today.
