After it was available for download manually, Microsoft Edge’s Chromium-based browser will arrive for Windows users by default in the next update.

She announced Microsoft Corporation On the start of the arrival of the Edge browser based on Chromium within the upcoming Windows 10 update by default, after the browser was available since last January to download manually, so that all users can get the benefits of the new browser on Windows 10 along with the rest of the operating systems.

The Edge Chromium browser offers more speed for users compared to the EdgeHTML system that Microsoft used in its browser, and it has become somewhat similar to Google Chrome in terms of the ability to install plugins, speed, and how it works, but with special features in design and features added by Microsoft.

The browser will be available with update 1903 and 1909 from Windows 10, and the previous Edge version will be replaced with the new version on the device and in the Start menu if it was preinstalled. The new version based on Chromium will also transfer all browsing data and information saved in the old version such as passwords and favorite tabs by default.

It is noteworthy that any attempt to open the Edge browser in its previous version with EdgeHTML system will automatically direct the user to the browser version based on Chromium, and users will not uninstall the browser on Windows 10 upon arrival.
