His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, discussed, during a visual communication with His Excellency Dr. Subramniam Jay Shankar, Indian Minister of Foreign Affairs, strategic relations between the UAE and India, and aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries in a number of areas, in addition to a number of issues Of common interest.
The visual contact also discussed the developments of the emerging epidemic of the Corona virus «Covid-19», and ways to confront it and control its repercussions.
In this regard, His Highness and the Indian Minister of External Affairs affirmed the distinguished cooperation between the two friendly countries on the research level, the exchange of experiences and the application of advanced technologies to conduct HIV testing.
The two sides exchanged condolences over the victims of “Corona”, and stressed the importance of continuing work to develop strategic relations and joint cooperation between the two friendly countries, especially in light of the world being affected by the “Covid 19” pandemic.
His Highness and the Indian Minister of External Affairs also stressed the need to enhance joint work in the framework of international organizations.
The two sides indicated to the care and attention the strategic relations between the UAE and India enjoy from the leaderships of the two countries, and the constant eagerness to enhance them, in a way that realizes the common interests of the two friendly countries, and brings goodness to their peoples.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan appreciated the excellent cooperation and coordination between the two countries in the field of confronting the emerging epidemic of Corona virus «Covid-19».
His Highness thanked India for dispatching medical and nursing cadres to the country to support its efforts to contain the pandemic.
His Highness pointed to the distinguished role played by the Indian medical cadres working in the country to treat those infected with the virus, as well as the Indian cadres who were keen to join the “Emirates Volunteer” campaign to support the national efforts made to contain the repercussions of this pandemic.
His Highness praised the support provided by India in the recent period of the “Dubai Expo 2020”, which was postponed until next year 2021, expressing the UAE’s aspiration for a distinguished Indian participation in this global event.
His Highness valued the preventive and precautionary measures and measures taken by India to contain the repercussions of the pandemic “Coved 19”, expressing his wishes to the friendly Indian people for their continued security, goodness and progress. His Highness affirmed the distinguished relations between the Emirates and India, which extend for decades, and the leaderships of the two friendly countries are keen to enhance and develop them in all fields.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Subramaniam Jay Shankar thanked the UAE for the medical support it provided to India, to enhance its efforts in combating the pandemic of the new Corona Virus “Covid-19”, confirming the friendship and strategic cooperation that brings together the UAE and India, supported and sponsored by my leadership.
