Trump urges California to allow Tesla to reopen her electric vehicle assembly plant

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – US President Donald Trump on Tuesday urged California to allow Tesla to reopen its electric vehicle assembly plant.

“California should let Tesla open the plant, now,” Trump said in a tweet on Twitter. This can be done quickly and safely. ”

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced on Monday the resumption of production at the company’s only vehicle plant in the United States, defying an order to remain closed, saying that if someone was to be arrested he must be himself.

There was no immediate comment from Tesla on Trump’s tweet.

Trump is making unremitting efforts to reopen the US economy and get Americans back to work.
