The Algerian Football Association has announced that Fahd Halfaya, the general manager of ES Setif, has been suspended until his appearance in a session scheduled for next Monday.

The League did not mention the reason for the suspension of Halfaya, and was content with a brief statement published on its official website, noting that it relied in its decisions on Articles 9 and 10 of the Algerian Football Association discipline regulations related to temporary and urgent measures.

Abdel-Karim Madwar, President of the League, had asked the Disciplinary Committee to investigate the issue of the audio recording attributed to Fahd Halfaya, whose content includes manipulating the results of some of the league’s matches.

In the statement published on its official website, the association stated that Mudawar also asked the Disciplinary Committee to handle this file with maximum speed in accordance with Article 4 of the Discipline Regulations of the Algerian Football Association.

She also stressed that she has coercive means and a legal arsenal in the level of facing this type of practices and any idea aimed at distorting the environment in which Algerian sports are active.

She pointed out that, in order to protect the competition, it will provide all conditions for the maintenance of sportsmanship.

Syed Ali Khaldi, the Algerian Minister of Youth and Sports and the Algerian Football Association, strongly condemned the audio recording in which two people spoke, one of whom was likely to be Fahd Halfaya, who was talking about efforts to manipulate the results of some matches to help his team ES Setif win the league title. the local.
