Tesfrin plans to end the season in Europe

Paris – UEFA President Alexander Tzverin said the UEFA continental federation is planning to end the 2019-2020 season by next August, including the Champions League and European League.

Most of the leagues in Europe stopped last March in light of the continuing crisis of Virus Covid-19, but some championships revealed plans to return matches during the coming weeks.

France and the Netherlands have canceled the two leagues, but the Bundesliga matches have revived, and Tesfrin expects to complete the season in at least 80 percent of the tournaments.

“We have an idea, but we have to wait for the Executive Committee of UEFA to confirm the dates,” Tsevrin said in press statements. I can say that the European season will end in August if everything remains the same.

“I think most of the leagues will complete the season,” the European official added. And the championships that will not complete the season are the decision makers. But she will have to play qualifiers if they want to participate in European championships. It has not yet completed the round of 16 games in the European Champions League and in the European League.
