Javier Tepas, president of the Spanish League, said that the association has a comprehensive protocol to protect players when training resumes again, after being suspended during the recent period due to the new Corona virus “Covid 19”.
The Liga League announced in an official statement that it allowed the clubs to resume their training individually (See the statement).
“The crisis has had a profound impact on all of us,” Tibas said in comments published by the Spanish newspaper “Sport”.
He added: “The return of football is a sign that society is progressing towards the new normal, and that return means the return of an element of life that people love in Spain and around the world.”
He continued: “The health of people is of the utmost importance to us, so we have a comprehensive protocol in order to protect the health of all concerned players, staff and coaches while working on the resumption of La Liga.”
He concluded his remarks by saying: “These conditions are unprecedented, but we hope to start playing again in June and end the 2019/2020 season in the summer.”
