Veteran American tennis player Serena Williams, crowned with 23 Grand Slam titles, has shown that she is “eager” to return to the stadiums, once the current health conditions are over amid the emerging Corona virus crisis.
In a message posted on Instagram, the former world number one and tennis legend for live women confirmed that she does not see her life far from tennis, “This is the best I do and adore. I really miss returning to tennis.”In the message, Serena appears as she exercises in the gym alongside her older sister, Venus.
The tennis season is currently suffering from stopping at least until mid-July due to the Corona epidemic, which led to the cancellation of a Wimbledon-sized tournament for the first time since the Second World War, as well as the postponement of the Grand Roland Garros championship until September.
The 38-year-old admitted that what is happening is a “bad thing to accept” all over the world, noting that her body needed “that compulsory rest” even though she personally did not want to.
“Now I feel better than ever, more relaxed, and in better physical shape, I can really go out to play tennis,” she added.
Venus Williams, crowned seven titles for the Grand Slam, continues to lead training on Instagram and this week she invited her little sister, whom she described as “the best tennis player in history”.
