Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Inter Milan have launched a new competition called “Solidarity Cup”, to be held in 2021 and the proceeds will go to health workers, the Madrid giant announced Tuesday.
“Real Madrid will organize, with Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, the European Solidarity Cup in 2021, in order to collect donations for health workers in Spain and Italy who are fighting the outbreak of the Corona virus,” he said in a statement.
According to this competition, three matches will be held in 2021 in Madrid, Munich and Milan at dates to be determined later. The statement added, “In any case, these matches will take place when it becomes possible for the fans to return to the stands.”
The match between Real Madrid and Inter Milan will be held in Madrid, Inter Milan with Bayern Munich in Milan, and Bayern Munich with Real Madrid in Munich.
During each match, each host club will invite health workers in their city to follow up on the match, in a move to thank them for the work they are doing to combat the “Covid-19” epidemic.
The statement concluded, “The three clubs aim to send a message of solidarity and brotherhood among the various European peoples and want to express their solidarity, respect and gratitude to these champions.”
