New Zealand Film Taika Waityi will author and direct a movie based on the “Star Wars” world, as announced by the Disney Group.
Taika Whitetti has moved from successful independent films to massive Hollywood productions in recent years such as “Thor: Ragnarok” in 2017. In February of this year he won an Academy Award for Best Screenplay for “JoJo Rabbit”.
He also directed the first season of the series “The Mandurian”, which also falls under the “Star Wars” world.No date has been set for the release of the new film. However, the first of three “Star Wars” films will be shown in December 2022, according to the Disney calendar.
On the other hand, Disney confirmed that Leslie Headland will perform a new television series inspired by the “Star Wars” atmosphere. Headland was involved in the development of the “Russian Doll” series.
