The British health authorities announced today, Saturday, that 468 new deaths caused by the new Corona virus have been recorded during the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 34,466 deaths.
The new death toll published by the British Ministry of Health in its daily report on the developments of the Corona outbreak in the United Kingdom is a significant increase, compared with statistics for the previous day (384 deaths).
As of 9am 16 May, there have been 2,489,563 tests, with 136,486 tests on 15 May.
1,742,028 people have been tested of which 240,161 tested positive.

During the last 24 hours, the Ministry recorded 3451 new cases of the virus that causes “Covid-19” (compared to 3560 cases the previous day), bringing the total number of cases that have been recorded in the country since the beginning of the pandemic 240161.
Britain ranks second, after the United States, on the list of countries most affected by the virus in terms of deaths.
