Among them Emirati .. Airlines are racing to cancel A380 orders

Emirates is in talks with Airbus to cancel part of its recent A380 order.

Bloomberg reported that “Emirates” is in talks to cancel one fifth of its order for eight A380s before Airbus stops its program to manufacture the world’s largest passenger plane, next year.

The sources said that “Emirates Airlines” no longer wants to get all eight planes due to the Corona virus, and is considering referring some of its current planes for this retirement before the scheduled date.

In turn, Air France announced that it would suspend the operation of its A380 fleet, two years ahead of schedule due to the Corona virus crisis.

The costs of retiring the ten planes in the airline’s fleet, which was the first operator of this model, will amount to 500 million euros, and will be calculated as expenses and long-term costs in the second quarter.
