The airline “Russia” (a subsidiary of the Aeroflot Group) has started cargo flights, due to the decline in passenger traffic due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus.
“Because of the temporary restrictions on international passenger air traffic, our company has redirected part of its fleet of aircraft to implement a medical cargo transport program,” the company said.
The company said that the first cargo flights were launched, April 29 from China, as the company transported medical supplies. During May, more than 50 such trips were planned. Agricultural transport trips were also planned.
The company said it is carrying out these flights on Boeing 777-300 / 300ER aircraft, which are able to carry an average of 40 tons of cargo.
She added that luggage transport sections were used in addition to the plane salon.
Before that, Aeroflot, Nordwind, Azure, Ural Airlines, Yot Air, and S7 had started cargo flights.
