Press reports revealed that Real Madrid tried to recruit its captain Sergio Ramos to help sign Harvey Elliot, but Liverpool’s rising star did not want to meet the man who injured his teammate Mohamed Salah.
Young English player Harvey Elliot, 16, had a range of options available to him as he prepared to leave Fulham last year, shortly after that time when he became the youngest player in Premier League history.
Elliot began his professional career in “Premier League” when he was only 16 years and 30 days old, in May last year, but by then many of the largest clubs in the world were aware of his talents.
Real Madrid was one of those clubs, but a report from “The Athletic” claiming that their efforts to sign Elliott, last summer, were not over, as the club wanted.
It is said that while Real Madrid was giving Elliot and his family a tour of his “Santiago Bernabeu” stadium and the club’s training complex, they made a presentation to the youth to meet the club’s captain, Sergio Ramos.
This came, one year after the “incident” Ramos injured the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah by twisting the shoulder, which forced the “Pharaoh” out of the final of the 2018 European Champions League, to reject Elliot the offer, and he replied: “I do not love him after what he did With Mohamed Salah. ”
Eliot does not hide his respect for his colleague, the Egyptian star, when he told the Reds website last April: “Mo is the king.”
“When I face Salah in training, I learn a lot of things. I love him a lot. Even in the gym, he helps me and tells me to do more weights to push myself more.”
Harvey Elliot, who recently reached 17, made his first appearance in the English Premier League with his childhood club “Reds” when he replaced his teammate Salah himself during his match against Sheffield United (2-0) last January.
