The Abu Dhabi Center for Waste Management “Tadweer” announced the collection of approximately 46.67 tons of general waste during the first half of the month of Ramadan, most of which are food waste, with a daily rate of 3.11 tons, and an increase rate over normal days of 5%.

“Recycling” explained that he redoubled his efforts during the month of Ramadan, at the level of providing waste collection and transport services, public cleaning services and sterilization in light of the spread of the Corona virus globally as a benefit -19, as the center’s teams are working to empty more than 150 thousand containers every day around the clock , Of various sizes throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and its transportation to the disposal places approved by the center, to be treated in the most appropriate international methods.

The “Tadweer” had prepared to receive the holy month, in a tight line adopted since the beginning of the month, taking into account the exceptional circumstances experienced by the emirate due to the consequences of the Corona Virus, as it focused on redoubling all efforts to ensure rapid control of all waste and its disposal in record times, taking Taking into consideration the focus on the evening and morning periods that coincide with the Iftar and Suhoor meals on a daily basis, to maintain public health and safety and the cultural and aesthetic appearance of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

At the current times, Tadweer relies on continuous unloading of containers using the compression waste collection vehicles in the emirate, which number up to 211 compression vehicles, in addition to relying on a specialized working team around the clock that includes supervisors, drivers, and sweepers, who number up to 7000, who They operate according to the preventive measures used in the emergency health situation due to the new Covid 19.

A special team recycling is devoted to working within the national sterilization program, which continues throughout the country in general and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in particular, where the procedures were followed to double the examination tents for the new Corona virus, which are found in mainland areas such as Al Wathba, Mussafah, Zayed City in Al Dhafra and Al Hili in Al Ain City and others, by providing the necessary containers, and maintaining the rapid transport of medical waste in them and treating them quickly, ensuring the safety of the community of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and protecting its environment from all pollutants and health risks.
