The automaker Fiat Chrysler announced yesterday that it recorded losses of 1.7 billion euros (1.8 billion dollars) during the first quarter, and attributed this to the outbreak of the Corona virus.

The company said that despite “this unprecedented and unprecedented circumstance, its merger with the French company PSA is still valid”, confirming its commitment “to complete the deal by the end of this year or early 2021”.

The company’s revenue fell 16% to 20.6 billion euros compared to the same quarter last year, and sales fell 21% to 818 thousand units. And revenues fell before calculating taxes and interest, to record 52 million euros.
