Houston Rockets superstar and one of the NBA’s top scorer Russell Westbrook donated 650 computers to children in need, as schools closed due to an outbreak of the Corona virus.
The “YNAT?” The charity that Westbrook founded with the non-profit company Comp-U-DUPT to secure computers for children who could not get it.
“The generous gift from the Russell Westbrook WayNet will allow us to significantly increase our inventory and ensure that we can continue to bridge the gap for the neediest Houston families,” said Colin Dempsey of Comp-u-Dobt.
He continued, “One out of every 3 economically disadvantaged students in the Houston area lacks access to a computer at home. With the spread of “Covid-19” and the closure of schools, there is an immediate need to deliver more computers to students and families unable to reach them.
