Uefa decided today, Wednesday, to suspend all Champions League and European League matches, until further notice, without specifying a date for the return of competitions, due to the outbreak of the Corona virus “Covid-19”.

UEFA has postponed all international matches, scheduled for June, including clashes in the European Championship 2020 qualifiers, which were postponed to 2021.

The final matches of the Champions League, European League and Women’s Champions League final, all scheduled for May, were postponed.

Most European league leagues hope to complete the local season once the restrictions are lifted, due to the Corona virus.

During a video conference of 55 member associations, a range of topics were discussed, on the crisis and options available to game officials in the coming weeks.

The UEFA Executive Committee gave clubs more time to complete their participation license papers for the upcoming season, and to suspend provisions requiring clubs to provide future financial information.
