English press reports revealed that the European Football Union is studying the possibility of ending the current season of the Champions League in just 3 weeks, in August next year, in light of the stoppage of competitions currently, due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.

According to the English newspaper “Daily Mail”, UEFA is looking to squeeze the remaining role matches in the Champions League by playing one game in order to finish the current season of the championship during the month of August.

The newspaper added that, the European Union, is considering playing the quarter-finals, from one match on a neutral stadium, to be held semi-final and final, through a quadruple tournament.

The European Football Association “UEFA” has decided to postpone the competitions of the European Champions League and the European League, in addition to all the matches scheduled between the teams in next June, whether the special supplement qualifying to Euro 2020, which was postponed to be held in the summer of 2021 or the women’s matches, due to the crisis of a virus outbreak Corona, after the meeting last Wednesday.

It is worth noting that the Liverpool team, which includes the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, is the championship title, after defeating Tottenham 2-0.

The Corona virus outbreak caused all major European leagues to be temporarily suspended in order to protect against the spread of the virus, especially as sporting activities are witnessing large gatherings of audiences.
