The production of refineries and petroleum industries in the Sultanate of Oman decreased during the month of February by 6.8 percent, compared to February of 2019, according to the report of the National Center for Statistics and Information published today on the official Oman News Agency website.

The statement did not mention the reason for the decline in production.

The production of refineries and petroleum industries includes various products such as gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel.

The production of excellent car fuel of type (95), which is one of the types of fuel used by cars, increased by 9 percent.

Ordinary car fuel production (91), another type of fuel used by cars, also decreased by 32 percent.

Gas oil production – diesel – decreased by 9 percent. And diesel is used by freight and freight cars.

Jet fuel production fell 10 percent.

LPG production fell 8 percent – LPG is used as fuel for heating appliances and equipment.

Polypropylene production fell by 9 percent. Polypropylene is used in the manufacture of ropes.
