Today, Monday, the Football Association Coordination Team held a coordination meeting with the visual communication system headed by the First Vice President of the Federation and President of the League of Professionals Abdullah Al-Junaibi, during which they studied the fate of the league and the contracts of players in light of developments related to sports affairs and the suspension of football activity due to the spread of the new Corona virus and the role played by the Union The International Football Association «FIFA», which has formed a task force tasked with developing perceptions, scenarios and recommendations issued to member national federations to work on them during the coming period.
The Football Association said in a statement: «During the waiting period for the decisions of« FIFA », the team takes pre-emptive measures to keep pace with the health situation and its changes, in coordination with the competent authorities in the country and inform the clubs about these measures.
He added: “A working group has been formed from the departments of competitions and national teams at the Federation and the Technical Department of the Association of Professionals to work out a vision for the agenda of the next stage in line with the calendar of the International Federation and the Asian Football Association and the entitlements of national teams.”
And he completed «the work team developed a number of perceptions regarding players’ contracts in various categories (citizens – foreigners – residents and births) in coordination with the Committee on the Status and Transfers of Players in the Football Association, while the topic of local competitions, both the Arab Gulf League, were referred to the Board of Directors of the Professional League, and the President’s Cup and League matches The first class of the Football Association Competitions Committee, during the meeting, the registration and registration period for the new season was discussed, as the Status and Transfers Committee was assigned to the players to determine the period in coordination with the work team of the relevant departments ».
The statement pointed out that “all visions will be raised to the boards of the Football Association and the Professional Association for perusal and accreditation.”
