The American Swimming Federation announced that the wheel of its competitions stalled due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus will return to circulation at the regional level in August and national starting in November, while six events will qualify to the Tokyo Olympics postponed until the summer of 2021.

Because of the various delays to return to the basins, the American Federation made its decision to cancel the national events scheduled for July and August, including the Speedo summer tournaments.

The federation, which will provide details on 14 of the 16 events in the next few weeks, indicated that “regional competitions will take place in August with the idea of ​​limiting travel and promoting a safer environment for athletes, coaches, officials and families.”

The pre-national competitions for the teams participating in the Tokyo Olympics, scheduled for 13-20 June, will begin in the fall season: in Richmond, Virginia, where the first round of the “US Pro Swim” series will take place between 5 and 8 November, followed by the State Championship. United in Atlanta between 2 and 5 December.

The next versions of “Pro Series” will take place between January 13 and 16 in Knoxville (Tennessee) between March 3 and 6 in San Antonio (Texas), between 8 and 11 April in Mission Viejo (California), between 12 and 15 May in Indianapolis.
