New data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that more than half of those infected with the Corona virus, health care workers, have probably caught the virus by interacting with infected patients or their colleagues.
The results highlight the need to improve protection for those working in the front rows from infection, while hospitals face crowds of patients with “Covid-19” caused by the emerging coronavirus.
In the weekly report of the American Centers for Patients and Deaths, researchers said health care workers should be examined to see if they have a fever, or respiratory symptoms, at the start of their shifts. The report added that they should also be given priority in tests for detecting the Corona virus, to be provided with appropriate personal protective equipment, to be trained in its use, and to be urged not to work if they feel any symptoms.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expects more Corona virus cases to appear among medical personnel, as the virus spreads more and more in the country.
The report calls for medical personnel to be given priority in corona detection checks, and to be provided with appropriate personal protective equipment and trained to use them.
