To help spread health advice during the pandemic of the Coronavirus, South Africa has reintroduced a classic song by famous anti-apartheid singer, Myriam Makeba.
The new version of the song, “Bata Bata”, recorded by the award-winning singer Angelic Kidjo and released by UNICEF, includes tips on staying home, washing hands and keeping a distance from others, according to Deutsche Press Agency.
“We all know what we need to do, but we also know the suffering of societies,” said Kidjo, who is also the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. She added that the song “Bata Bata” was always present at the time of the conflict, adding: “I hope you help again.”
