The Yemeni Minister of Information, Muammar Al-Iryani, accused Qatar of identifying with the Iranian project and its Houthi tool in his country, stressing that Doha provides support and cover to the Houthis.
Al-Iryani called, in a series of tweets on his page on Twitter, Tuesday, “Qatar to review its policies and distance itself from the Yemeni bloodshed, which is infiltrated by the Iranian mullahs, as history will have no mercy for anyone,” as he put it.
He also added: “Qatar or others are mistaken if they think that they are immune from the project of exporting the Khomeinist revolution and the Iranian expansionist plan, and they go wrong in turning Yemen into an arena for settling accounts without regard to the difficult political, security, economic and humanitarian conditions of a exhausted country that can no longer tolerate more adventures.”
To that he stressed that “the battles of Al-Jawf and Marib are not just a marginal battle related to legitimacy or a political party,” describing it as “a crucial battle in the course of the conflict with the Iranian expansionist scheme in the region.”
He noted: “This is what the countries that consider Yemen as an arena for settling accounts should realize without realizing that their repercussions will affect everyone.”
