The Sao Paulo club’s first-team winger Alexandre Pato has advised his former club AC Milan about the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paulo Maldini.
Maldini works as an adviser to the Italian club starting this season, while Ibrahimovic returned to Milan last January for only 6 months with the possibility of renewing for another season.

Pato expressed his opinion in comments with the Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport” and said: “I would like to return to Europe, it would be nice to do it in Milan, but I have to win the Libertadores Cup first and then return.”
He continued: “Milan fans have to trust in the capabilities of their team despite the low level of the team during the past years in order to rise and return to the right path.”
He continued: “Sad for this modest level provided by Milan in the past years, I think the club is trying to restore its level again and therefore needs the support of its fans.”
He added: “The administration should keep people with experience like Paolo Maldini because he knows exactly what Milan means to him.”
He also said: “The same applies to Ibrahimovic, who has a lot of experience in Italian football and thus will burden a large generation of young people to be able to compete for the championships.”
