OnePlus is committed to providing a “fast and smooth” user experience. To achieve this, it needs the right mix of hardware and software, says CEO Pete Lau in a post on the company’s official forum where he talks about improvements the company has made to its R&D team for the upcoming OnePlus 8 Series phone lineup.

To give the new OnePlus 8 Series phones the strength and speed it needs to make the software inside work well and smoothly, OnePlus has made clear that it has decided to equip its new flagship phones with the latest flagship Snapdragon 865 processor from Qualcomm, the fast UFS 3.0 memory chip, and the fast LPDDR5 RAM. Returning to UFS 3.0 storage, it is able to reach speeds of up to 1700MB per second at the read and write level. As for the LPDDR5 RAM, it promises to deliver a speed of up to 6400 Mbps unlike the current RAM LPDDR4X, which has a speed of 4266 Mbps.

In general, we are supposed to know more about the new OnePlus 8 Series phones on the 14th of April, when it will be officially announced.
