According to the reports, Al-Ahly offered the player a new contract for two seasons for 11 million pounds (about 700,000 dollars) in the season, while he asked for 16 million (about a million dollars), which was provided to him by Pyramids for three seasons.
Fathi began his football career with Al-Ismaili and contributed to his leadership in winning the league title 2000-2001 season, before moving to Al-Ahly in 2007, in a march that included more than one external professional experience that included Kazma clubs Kuwait, Umm Salal Al-Qatar, Sheffield United and his compatriot Hull City on loan. .
