The Ministry of Health spokesperson, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdali, responded to the allegations that the Kingdom was not transparent in announcing the numbers of new cases of Coronavirus.
Al-Abdali said in an interview with Al-Arabiya channel, that the Kingdom’s approach to declaring the real numbers in a transparent manner is monitored by the World Health Organization and the locations of known and scientifically proven bodies, and these are the kingdom’s nests at all times.
He added that the Kingdom provides data through electronic platforms and holds daily conferences indicating transparency and openness at the highest levels, referring to the speech of the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, in which he spoke frankly about the numbers and expected scenarios.
He pointed out that before the first case of HIV infection appeared, the Kingdom had taken early measures, such as stopping visas, stopping Umrah, and stopping travel from several countries, and what was surprising in some quarters is now being praised by the World Health Organization.
