Milan donates 100,000 dollars to buy respirators in Italy

The Milan club revealed, in a statement, on its official website, that the Gordon Foundation and Jenny Singer (from the fund owner of the Rossoneri) donated $ 100,000 to the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, to buy respirators.

The statement continued, that the Singer family of one of the owners of Milan, through its institution, joins the national effort to overcome the emergency situation, due to the Corona virus, and offers its support to strengthen the national health service in Italy.

The club explained that the amount donated by the Foundation comes after the campaign of donations launched by the Milan Foundation and Foundation for Emergency Support in the region of Lombardy, and has succeeded so far in raising 500 thousand euros.

On the other hand, Spanish press reports revealed that the Italian club Milan is seeking to obtain the services of the Croatian star Ivan Rakitic, Barcelona midfielder, during the next summer transfer market, to strengthen his ranks next season.

The Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” reported that Milan will return next summer to try to sign Rakitic again, after having tried 3 previous times, but he failed.

The newspaper added that, the Rossoneri administration, tried to annex the Croatian star, in the summer of 2018, and repeated the same thing in the summer of 2019, as he tried to annex him last winter.

The newspaper indicated that, the departure of Rakitic, from the Catalan team, next summer, will be easier than in previous years, especially after the departure of coach Ernesto Valverde, who was sticking to the survival of the player.

The Italian giant will compete strongly with its neighbor Inter Milan, along with many other clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Seville, for the services of the Croatian star.

The Croatian star joined the ranks of the Barca team in 2014, coming from the Seville team, and he played with the team 299 games, in all competitions, he scored 35 goals, and crowned 13 titles.

The Corona virus outbreak caused all major European leagues to be temporarily suspended in order to protect against the spread of the virus, especially as sporting activities are witnessing large gatherings of audiences.
