Press reports revealed that the private jet of Argentine star Lionel Messi, the captain of the Barcelona team, was forced to land at Brussels Airport in the Belgian capital due to a malfunction.

The British newspaper “The Sun” confirmed that the private plane owned by Messi was on its way to Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Spain, and faced a problem with the landing gear, and almost fell, which forced its pilot to land at the airport “Zaventem” in the Belgian capital “Brussels”.

The newspaper pointed out that the information received reveals that the plane took off from San Carlos de Bariloche in Argentina to an airport in Recife, Brazil, which took about 6 hours, then took off from Recife last night, and landed Friday morning in Brussels.

Reports indicated that there is currently no information on the identity of who was on the plane, either Lionel Messi, Barcelona star, or any of his family members.

Messi Airline returned after addressing the problem of the landing gear, and after an emergency landing for an hour and a half, and headed towards the island of Tenerife, avoiding the fate of the two planes, Kobe Bryant, American basketball legend and Argentine Emeliano Sala, Cardiff City player.
