Jerusalem / Abdel Raouf Arnaout / Anatolia – On Tuesday evening, a comprehensive closure began, on the majority Jewish communities in Israel, to continue until Thursday morning, coinciding with the end of the Jewish Passover.
The Israeli government imposed a similar measure with the start of the Jewish Passover last week, in an attempt to limit the spread of the Corona virus.
The Israeli police increased their presence to implement the decision, which was approved by the Israeli government late on Monday evening.
The closure includes preventing people from leaving their towns to supply food, medicine and essential products.
It will also be allowed to leave the residence for the public space, for a short period, and for a distance not exceeding 100 meters.
“Traffic police personnel will be deployed to the main axes to implement emergency orders and regulations,” the police said in a written statement, a copy of which was sent to Anatolia.
“The police will greatly expand law enforcement activities, including the installation of 44 barriers in the main hubs, in order to create a series of barriers within the cities and major hubs with a view to enforcing the law and ordering public health,” she added.
The Israeli Ministry of Health had said in a written statement, a copy of which was received by Anadolu Agency, on Tuesday, that the total number of injuries in Israel reached 11,235, while the total number of deaths reached 118 as a result of infection with the virus.
